As Childish Gambino releases cut after cut from his forthcoming effort, Because The Internet, the ups and downs have our anticipation going haywire pending the album’s December 10 release.
Glover released a new song through his Twitter feed (directed at Jhene Aiko) on Wednesday, entitled “Melrose,” but if you’re looking for the fired-up “Freaks And Geeks” or “Bonfire” Gambino, you may want to head back to his earlier material because with “Melrose,” it’s a four-and-a-half-minute, smooth R&B slow jam sans aggression, or any bars at all for that matter. It plays like a chill intermission piece if anything with only Glover’s delicate falsetto on display, repeating the lines, “Someone gave you all my love.” The production is killer and it’s easy to just kick back and relax to this cut, or even better- sip on something nice while enjoying its vibes with your special someone.
We suggest you do just that after the jump.
