Bruno Mars has been riding the success of his Sophomore album, Unorthodox Jukebox, for the better part of the last year (11 months to be precise). Now as the one-year anniversary of his latest release nears, the man who would catch a grenade for the woman he loves has released a killer remix to “Gorilla” that will definitely help set the mood with your special someone this weekend.
Dubbed the “G-mix,” the official remix of “Gorilla” builds on Bruno Mars’ already powerful quasi-ballad by adding verses from Pharrell and R. Kelly to the mix. The results up the overall sexual vibe of the track in the best way possible, and in the process creates one of most epic-sounding pop offerings in recent memory. You can stream the single at the end of this post.
We were not the biggest fans of Unorthodox Jukebox, but given the success Bruno Mars has found in the last years it’s clear not everyone feels the same. This remix is certainly something special, and hopefully there will be more of the same in the months to come.
