La Dispute Is Teasing Something

Teaser videos and viral marketing might be old hat at this point, but when La Dispute is involved, we can rest assured that the final reveal will be something very cool. Today, the Grand Rapids, Michigan quintet posted a video of a mural being taken apart in a forest. Cryptically titled “LS2,” the clip features music that is more in line with the band’s Here, Hear series of EPs than their usual brand of angular and at times chaotic post-hardcore.

Here’s hoping the teaser is an indication of a new album on the horizon, as the band has been rather quiet this year outside of a spring tour with Hot Water Music, and their last release was 2011’s Wildlife, a gripping collection of vivid stories about murder, schizophrenia, and urban decay that certainly set the bar high for their next record.
