What can be said about Lorde that hasn’t been said at length in the past 6 months? The teenaged superstar from down under has shown again and again the value in her work and image. In just a year, she has gone from hometown genius to worldwide phenomenon and she’s only just beginning.
With as popular as her youthful anthems are with today’s youngsters, it’s only natural that she play a part on the soundtrack to the biggest young adult film of the year, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, appearing on silver screens November 22, 2013.
Her contribution to the track list is a cover of Tears For Fears hit “Everybody Wants to Rule The World” and, as Gary Jules taught us with Donnie Darko‘s soundtrack, Tears For Fears songs are better low tempo with some mood. Lorde obliges.
