Lex Luthor To Be In ‘Batman vs. Superman’

Alright, here we go. It seems that at a recent fan event for Man of Steel, director Zack Snyder slickly confirmed that Batman vs. Superman will star Lex Luthor, one of Superman’s greatest enemies.

There have been plenty of rumors flying around that actors were being sought out to play the role, though this is the first time we have heard anything directly from those involved in the film. Actors rumored to play Luthor spanned from Bryan Cranston to Terry O’Quinn.

If you recall back to Man of Steel, there was a very quick shot of some LexCorp trucks in Metropolis during the fight scene, most notably being thrown at Superman. There is also a shot of the LexCorp tower in the skyline, so it makes sense that Luthor is present and well in this series’ canon. The massive destruction in Man of Steel is said to be a future plot point for Luthor, using the catastrophic destruction and death sustained in Metropolis against Superman. These motives for Luthor have been tied to the All-Star Superman story line.
