Sammy Adams Streams “Touch”

Boston’s Boy is gearing up to release his Homecoming EP later this week, but first he has one last promotional single to share with the internet.

So far, the material Sammy Adams has released from his forthcoming EP has showcased a diverse mix of influences and ideas. “I Wish” showed the sensitive side of Adams, while “Awesome” proved he could still party like no other. His latest, “Touch,” turns the focus from Sammy to a girl lost in her twenties. The verses depict her fun-loving, carefree lifestyle in a way that is both desirable and depressing by telling of the emptiness that lies behind her delusional ideas of what will make her complete, and Adams uses the hook to let her know he’ll be there to help her through it all. You can stream the track below.

Adams has previewed three of the six songs off Homecoming, and at this point I think it’s safe to say he has a chart-topping record on his hands. “Touch” is not a perfect single, but it’s fun and uplifting in a way that has broad appeal, which is exactly what a rising pop sensation like Sammy needs at this point in his career.

Homecoming will be available on iTunes on Tuesday, November 19. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on “Touch.”
