BUYER BEWARE: Counterfeit Brand New Tickets Online

Brand New recently announced that they will be performing at four special tour dates where they’ll be playing their entire discography. As with any major tour, there are people who like to take advantage of fans who want to see the bands who are performing. Those would be scalpers, and according to reports we’ve seen scalped tickets being a huge problem for these four dates. According to a user on Absolutepunk, there are some counterfeit tickets online that people are trying to sell. You can read what the user had to say below the jump.

If you are going to buy tickets online for these shows, please be wary and make sure they are not tickets that are copied or counterfeited. Honestly, I’d say your best bet is to use the legit website tickets are sold (and not StubHub).

Multiple “sellers” sent me pictures of the tickets they supposedly possessed. For starters, hard printed tickets aren’t being sent out until two weeks before the shows. Both told me they had bought through TicketMaster. Secondly, I inquired to two separate ads by two users with different phone numbers asking for pictures of their “tickets” for legitimacy. They both gave me pictures however when I compared the two, two of the tickets were the same exact printing as another sellers (same seats).

Pay close attention to the top ticket in the first photo and middle ticket in the second photo. Both say they are section GA13 Seat 21.
