Simon Pegg Will Return For ‘Mission: Impossible 5’

Just a week after setting a Christmas 2015 release date, Mission: Impossible 5 has added another familiar face to the cast.

Simon Pegg has confirmed he will be reprising his role as Benji Dunn in the upcoming M:I5. When asked during a recent press event if he planned to return, Pegg responded, “Yes, absolutely. I’m looking forward to that. I’ve already started eating one carrot a day in order to be in shape.”

The character of Dunn originally appeared in Mission: Impossible 3 and returned for Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. He’s more or less the comedic relief of the team, but to label him as simply the funny man would be a discredit to Pegg’s performance.

No word yet on whether or not fellow Ghost Protocol cast members Jeremy Renner and Paula Patton will return, but it’s certainly shaping up to be one big family reunion. We’ll bring you more on the film as additional information becomes available.
