If you recall our gleaming review of the debut EP from Perth’s dream-pop duo Greyjoy (yes, it’s a Game Of Thrones / Song of Ice & Fire reference), then you’re well aware of the fact that these two have a lot to offer in the genre alongside other newcomers such as Magic Man and MMX.
Today, Greyjoy have premiered a brand new cut over at HillyDilly that would have fit nicely into the mix of its preceding EP, but definitely assures us that they’re still on the right track for future efforts. “Complications” is a synth-driven slow-jam with an undeniable groove and Karlin Courtney’s smooth vocals to guide you through it. It’s so very ’80s with a little bit of a Phoenix-esque modern feel.
We’re definitely looking forward to Greyjoy’s new EP, but in the meantime, you can stream “Complications” after the jump.
