Relient K Perform New Song Live

Relient K released Collapsible Lung less than six months ago, but the next batch of new songs may already be on the horizon. The Ohio group is currently out on tour with Motion City Soundtrack and Driver Friendly, and one of those new songs, “Look On Up,” has worked its way into their set. Check out a performance of the tune after the break.

One has to wonder if the band is showing off new songs so soon to combat the reaction to Collapsible Lung, which was lukewarm at best. “Look On Up” is certainly a far cry from the straightforward, radio-ready pop that dominated that album, and longtime fans will welcome the return to form.

There’s been no word on when a studio version of the song will surface, but we’ll let you know as soon as we do.
