Members Of Wilco, Guster, And More To Pay Tribute To The Band’s ‘The Last Waltz’

A lot of concert films have been made over the course of rock and roll history, but few of them come close to The Last Waltz in scale and significance. Directed by Martin Scorcese, the film depicts The Band‘s final show on Thanksgiving Day, 1976. Thirty-seven years later, The Last Waltz will receive a full, front-to-back tribute concert. Artists performing at the event include Nels Cline of Wilco, Ryan Miller of Guster, Nicole Atkins, and many more.

The show will take place on November 27 at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York. Pick up a ticket right here, and check out the full lineup for the show after the break.

This is such a cool thing to take place. ‘The Last Waltz’ is an incredible film/event and has always been one of my favorite films, partially because my dad was at the concert in ’76 but mostly because The Band was incredible and Scorcese did the massive scope of the concert justice in his doc. Also, RIP to Levon. That man is a legend.
