‘Alice In Wonderland 2’ Will Star Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska

Creepy eyes, wacky hair, and an excess of face paint will once again grace Johnny Depp. Not as Sweeney Todd or Edward Scissorhands, but he’ll be returning as The Mad Hatter.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska (who played Alice) will be returning for the 2016 sequel. Yes, the release is a long way off, but given the amount of CGI and innovation poured into these monsters, it’s safe to say we have something to look forward to. The first Alice In Wonderland was released in 2010 and grossed over a billion dollars around the world.

Unfortunately for Tim Burton fans, it appears as though he will not be returning for the second go-around. He is being replaced by James Bobin, who recently directed The Muppets.

How did you guys like the first Alice In Wonderland? Let us know if you’re excited about this one or if 2016 is too far away to even give it any thought.
