Yesterday evening, the Illinois-based hardcore act Kingmaker released a lyric video for their track “Serpent’s Song,” which can be viewed at the bottom of this post, following the jump.
The song itself actually appeared on the group’s debut full-length Less Faith, but has since been re-recorded to highlight the outfit’s new guitarist and vocalist, both of whom joined the roster over the past several months.
This is the first “new” material seen from the five-piece since last years ground-breaking EP, Stay Asleep, and according to the band’s Tumblr, it will not be the last we hear of Kingmaker before the year ends.
As a Midwest native, I couldn’t be happier to see these fellas finally getting the recognition they deserve; the amount of energy and emotion that they pack into everything they do is truly something to be marveled at. Check out the pulse-pounding track for yourself, and comment below and let us know what you think of “Serpent’s Song.”
