Eminem Pays Tribute To Max Headroom In “Rap God” Music Video

Before the internet was a part of everyone’s daily lives there existed a digital man by the name of Max Headroom. He was the future of virtual reality before people realized virtual reality would take decades longer to master than originally thought, and today he’s given new life thanks to the official video for Eminem’s “Rap God.”

Hitting the net shortly after noon today, the video for “Rap God” finds Marshall Mathers impersonating Headroom in a futuristic computer-generated setting. He performs the song in this setting amidst a slew of performance sequences, and the results are as eye-catching as the lyrics are thought-provoking. You can view the final results at the end of this post.

Eminem’s new album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, is available now wherever music is sold.
