Joyce Manor are currently in the studio, working on a follow-up to 2012’s Of All Things I Will Soon Grow Tired. Joe Reinhart, of the now-defunct Algernon Cadwallader, is producing the album. The band is recording the album at The Lair in Los Angeles (All Time Low, Weezer, Ke$ha, One Direction).
Here’s to hoping that the record is longer than the 13-minute run-time of Of All Things I Will Soon Grow Tired. You can read what bassist Matt Ebert said to OC Weekly about the new album below.
I would say [the new album] is closer to [our first, self-titled album] in the sense that the songs are more straightforward and not so much experimental. I don’t want to say our last record was experimental but it was definitely a studio project.
