Watch an Awkward Staredown in Short Trailer for Childish Gambino’s New Album

Childish Gambino‘s upcoming album is being treated like a secret, even though we know quite a bit about it already. Gambino (aka Donald Glover) has shared several new songs from the album, the album cover, and now a short trailer to promote the record. It may only be 30 seconds, but the trailer shows Gambino in a staring contest with a woman. The result is a promo that feels like two minutes thanks to its awkwardness. Watch it after the jump.

Gambino’s new album, titled Because the Internet, comes out December 10 via Glassnote Records. From what we’ve heard in “Melrose,” “Sweatpants,” and “Shadows,” Gambino is coming back to home plate with a golden bat in hand for his third album. Guest spots from Chance the Rapper and Azealia Banks should make it all the more interesting.
