Ah yes, nerds, punks, fans of Filmage, caffeine lovers, you may rejoice. Descendents have officially announced the release of their very own coffee blend, which is now available for pre-order.

If you wish to go totally “Milo” for the holidays, you can even drink it out of Descendents coffee mugs, while wearing a Descendents coffee pot t-shirt. Are you following?

“Here’s the story-We found a local coffee roaster in Fort Collins, sampled coffees from around the world, then roasted, cupped, and re-roasted until we felt it epitomized what we have been singing about for all of these years. Ultra dark, robust, and of course, eccentric. Sourced from a family farm, Finca Candelaria, located in the Candelaria region of Guatemala made famous in 1974 for its expansive underground cave system that spans over 80km. As far as the coffee goes, the high altitude and rich volcanic soil create the environment to grow very dense coffee beans- meaning that they are chocked full of complex flavors but strong enough to withstand a deep roast profile. Wet milled, washed, and sun dried. Grown at 1220-1500m altitude.

If anyone else were to ask me where to find coffee on a beach in the middle of August I would’ve been baffled, but when Bill Stevenson did so, I just thought to myself, “par for the course.”
