We’re All Just Passing Through Debut Holiday Single, Video To Come

Long Island natives Travis Johnides and Alexa Sakal are not only brother and sister, but band partners too. Within less than a year of the duo releasing their first EP, entitled Bedroom Recordings, Vol. 1, they’d already received critical acclaim in all forms of media. Their download numbers far exceeded any typical debut.

Although We’re All Just Passing Through have humble beginnings as a duo (it actually started as a solo project); Travis has been touring the country for years.

You may remember a band that was fairly prominent in the scene back in the early 2000s called The Goodwill. Johnides has shared the stage with the likes of Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, The All-American Rejects, AFI, Brand New and so many more.

Travis let us know how he feels starting this new chapter in his musical career:

“Throughout my entire life, whenever I picked up an acoustic guitar, these were the types of songs I wrote. When I was playing and touring in The Goodwill, I actually found it more difficult to contribute to the writing process since, even though I loved the genre we played, it wasn’t the type of music I wrote naturally. So, I always had a desire to release this type of music and am thankful I finally have the opportunity. I only had the idea to write and release a Christmas song within the past two years. I grew up loving when my favorite bands released songs around the Holiday season, so I made it a point to also do so.” – Travis Johnides, We’re All Just Passing Through

Since taking on this new endeavor, WAJPT have performed at Angels & Kings, CMJ, The Knitting Factory and various other venues throughout New York! Their songs are light-spirited but heavy hearted and are sure to bring a smile to your face.
