WATCH: David Bowie – “I’d Rather Be High (Venetian Mix)”

David Bowie released his twenty-fourth studio album in March of this year, titled The Next Day. Eight months later he released an expanded collector’s edition of the album, which included seventeen new songs (if you’re not counting that some of them were on the deluxe edition of the album). One of the songs featured on the expanded version is titled “I’d Rather Be High (Venetian Mix).”

Bowie is known for releasing provocative visuals for his singles, and the latest video premiere is no exception. The video is comprised of found WW2 video of soldiers either on the field or out on the town, and that footage is stitched together with distorted shots of Bowie himself. You can watch the video for yourself by taking a look below the jump.
