Earlier this evening, the Swedish post-rock outfit Moonlit Sailor released the cover art for their highly anticipated fourth album, We Came From Exploding Stars, which according to the band’s official Facebook page, will be released “soon…” You can check it out for yourself at the bottom of this post, following the jump.
This will be the group’s first release since 2011’s Colors in Stereo, and their third through Deep Elm Records. According to the band, this latest effort will be ten tracks long.
When I was first introduced to Moonlit Sailor nearly five years ago, I fell in love almost instantly. These four Swedes are truly masters of their trade, easily rivaling genre veterans like Caspian and Explosions in the Sky in terms of creativity and musicianship. If you’re a fan of concise, jaw-dropping soundscapes, I highly suggest you listen to “Summer Solstice,” my favorite track off of Colors in Stereo. It can additionally be viewed below.
