One Direction Performs With Cast of ‘Anchorman 2’ on ‘SNL’

Saturday Night Live always gets huge artists to perform on the show, and last night’s musical guest was no exception. One Direction stopped by and plenty of jokes were made throughout the night regarding the band’s huge status thanks to host Paul Rudd.

In his opening monologue, Rudd brought together his Anchorman 2 group–Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, and David Koechner–with a very well-dressed One Direction to form Nine Direction. They covered Starland Vocal Band‘s “Afternoon Delight” together and, might I say, their harmonies were impeccable.

One Direction also performed an understated version of “Story Of My Life” alongside “Through The Dark.” Watch their performances, as well as the opening monologue, below:
