Justin Bieber Releases “Confident” Featuring Chance The Rapper

The most hyped collaboration of Chance The Rapper‘s career has come to fruition.

Following a week of hype that started over a Twitter conversation, Justin Bieber has continued his #MusicMondays series by releasing a new collaboration with Chicago native Chance The Rapper. Titled “Confident,” the song adds a jolt of exciting energy to Bieber’s new music series that, without giving it too much credit early on, may very well be the best song to surface from Bieber all year.

Backed by a beat that demands you find the closest open space and begin dancing immediately, Bieber and Chance talk about being transfixed on the most confident woman in the room. She knows she’s gorgeous, she knows they want her, and she carries herself in a way that makes it appear as if she couldn’t care less whether or not they existed at all. Bieber croons about watching her dancing with a look that says she knows what is on his mind, and though she refuses to quit playing hard-to-get Justin is still completely head over heels. Chance’s verse describe this beauty, complete with piercing and tattoos, and as his bars progress you get a peak behind the curtains at the person she really is just before Bieber’s croon-laden floods your speakers once more. It’s fun, sexy, and catchy as any song you’re likely to hear this month. You can stream “Confident” below.

The ballads and tongue-in-cheek duets of previous #MusicMondays were nice, but this song is the radio hit fans have been waiting on Bieber to deliver for months. Whether or not it gets an actual promotional push is another story, but for now it’s available on iTunes and quickly climbing the charts. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on “Confident.”
