Foo Fighters Make Their Return to the Stage at a Pizza Place

Last night, Foo Fighters played their first show in over a year — at a pizza place. Proving they’re still the basically coolest band ever, Foo Fighters performed 23 songs for a crowd of about 200 people at Rock & Roll Pizza in Moorpark, CA.

The Foos likely viewed the surprise gig as a warm up for the pair of big Mexico City shows they’re playing this week with The National but considering the band played a series of shows at fans’ garages surrounding the release of 2011’s Wasting Light, I wouldn’t be surprised if the band actually went on a mini-run of their favorite pizza places at some point. If I still lived anywhere near Chicago’s Piece Pizza (where Dave Grohl is kind of a regular), I’d be watching that place like a hawk.

Back in August, Grohl announced the band’s new album was already written so I’m expecting to hear new music and much, much more from the band in 2014. Click through for video evidence of last night’s gig at the pizza place.
