Pop Evil Release “Trenches” Remix Featuring Rap Icon DMC

Well, this was unexpected.

Pop Evil may have been together for the better part of the last decade, but never in their career have they experienced a year quite like 2013. From a successful album release, to their first chart-topping single, the men from Michigan have a lot to be thankful for, and this afternoon they’re saying thanks to fans by debuting a crazy new remix for their biggest hit.

Featuring new verses and a guest appearance from rap icon DMC, the official remix of “Trenches” adds a creative twist on the arena rock anthem. “It’s an honor getting to work with rap icon Darryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels of Run-DMC on our remix of the No. 1 Rock Single ‘Trenches,’” says frontman Leigh Kakaty. “Collaborating with DMC has brought the song to a whole new level, and we are very excited to get it out there to see what the future brings.”

You can stream the remix below.

Pop Evil are currently wrapping up the year with a handful of tour dates before heading back to the mitten state for the holidays. We will be catching them in Grand Rapids on December 20, so expect more details on their future plans in the coming weeks. For now, comment below and let us know your thoughts on the official remix to “Trenches.”
