UTG PHOTOS: NOFX (11/30/13)

Under The Gun Review sent photographer, Derek Scancarelli, to photograph NOFX at Irving Plaza in New York, NY.

The team over at Fat Wreck Chords has always treated us well and Under The Gun appreciates that. Simply put, Fat Wreck knows how to do punk rock, because Fat Mike and the boys in NOFX helped invent it. If you’re an old school punk, you may argue that they actually helped develop it, but that’s just semantics. After 30 years of being an influential band, you’re a pioneer either way you look at it. NOFX will be a staple in punk rock history forever.

While overlooking the balcony at Irving Plaza, it was evident you were at an important show. Industry professionals and band members surrounded the VIP area. You could catch the guys in Bayside rocking out to the left and just below the balcony, Fat Mike, “El Hefe,” Eric Melvin and Erik Sandin turned the venue into a circus. Personally, I haven’t seen a pit like that in Irving Plaza in years.

Check inside the post to see some photos from the show featuring Fat Mike’s blue mohawk, Melvin’s dreadlocks and sheer insanity.

Umm maybe I’m missing it, but where is the review of the actual show?
