A few weeks after making headlines with an amusing parody of Van Damme’s ‘epic split’ commercial, the team behind 22 Jump Street has released the film’s first official synopsis.

Hitting theaters June 13, 22 Jump Street will reunite Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) for an all-new undercover adventure that will eventually test the strength of their friendship. That may seem a little too familiar, but there are a few twists in store. The synopsis reveals:

After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don’t have to just crack the case – they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.

The IMDB for 22 Jump Street is still relatively empty and there are only a few photos from the set floating around online, so finding additional information about the film is still pretty difficult considering there are only a little over six months to go before release. Still, having loved the first one on a recent second (or possibly third) viewing I am hoping that Tatum/Hill team won’t disappoint.

We’ll bring you more details about 22 Jump Street as the become available.
