Pussy Riot Are To Be Freed Under Amnesty Bill

It sounds like the drawn out saga between Pussy Riot and the Russian authorities might be near an end. According to Voice Project, Riot member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova’s husband has told them that her, and the other member still behind bars, Maria Alyokhina, will be freed under the amnesty bill being submitted by the Kremlin to parliament to mark the Russian constitution’s 20th anniversary.

That’s the great news, and the not-so-great news is that they do not know how long it will take for the women to actually get to be released. The family said it could be two weeks, or two months. I for one hope they get freed sooner than later.
