Actor|Observer Stream ‘Live At Devotion Music’ Performance

Any music fan who has searched YouTube for live performances knows how frustratingly hard it can be to find decent-quality videos of bands who aren’t playing massive festivals. That won’t be a problem for post-hardcore band Actor|Observer, who recently recorded a live in-the-studio performance at Devotion Recording in their native Boston, Massachusetts.

The set will be released as a periodic video series, and the first episode is streaming now over at AbsolutePunk. In this clip, the band tear through “Golden Torch” and “So Far Removed,” both of which are featured on their latest EP, Circular Mill, released independently in August of this year. The songs blend technical riffs with a good balance of singing and screaming, and the quartet is full of energy despite the lack of an audience.
