Preview Run the Jewels’ New Song, “Pew Pew Pew”

After releasing an excellent self-titled LP for free this year, Run the Jewels, aka El-P and Killer Mike, have announced they’re doing a follow-up record due out next year. “But when, but when?” the fans shouted, and the two men kept their lips shut and crossed their arms. Feeling guilty, they shared a snippet from the album in a Boiler Room set that you can hear after the jump.

Well, that’s not exactly how it went, but Run the Jewels did preview new material during a recent Boiler Room set. DJ Trackstar debuted the clip of new music at the 1:22 mark from a song called “Pew Pew Pew.” As you would expect, the song is sharp and quick, full of the same speed they tossed out on their debut. It looks like we can expect the same high quality work that was on Run the Jewels. It’s okay — we can’t hide our smiles, either.
