Chance The Rapper Releases Tour Documentary, Teases New Project

At this point there is no denying the impact Chance The Rapper made on rap music in 2013. From UTG to Complex, everyone in music seems to be singing the praises of Chicago’s latest young music hero, and this weekend he’s given fans yet another reason to be excited for his continuing rise.

Taking to YouTube as his multi-month headline tour winds down, Chance released a new documentary this weekend offering fans fans an in-depth look at his life on the road. With narration from the man himself, the short clip show Chance engaging crowds and spending time with his crew while far from home. You can view the video at the end of this post.

While the new visuals are no doubt fun to watch, the most interesting aspect of this video release from Chance is actually found in the clip’s description on YouTube. Speaking directly to fans, Chance writes:

With little budget, experience or time for preparation, the team and I put together this #SocialExperiment Tour 2013. My first Tour. 43 shows. 18 person crew. 4 piece band. 1 Tour bus. 1 raw ass RV. This video represents positivity, love, friendship, musicianship, support and a whole lot of hard work. Big thanks and a Merry Xmas to every single person that made this possible, and everyone else who supported me like crazy this year.

– Chance

PS: SOCIAL EXPERIMENT COMING SOON

That last bit, ‘Social Experiment coming soon’ has already sparked a digital avalanche of rumors and speculation as to what Chance could be teasing. Does he have a longer documentary on the way? Will Social Experiment be the name of his next mixtape? Could it be a single?

At this point anything is possible, and to be honest we would be happy about any of the above being true. Comment below and let us know what you think Chance has in store. As soon as we confirm additional information about the meaning behind Social Experiment we’ll be sure to let you know.
