Fun. Release Free Live EP

It’s been a crazy couple years for Fun. Following the release of their sophomore album, Some Nights, the group, led by vocalist Nate Ruess truly stepped out of the shadow of its members’ former bands and became one of the biggest names in pop music. Their path to stardom has included a healthy amount of touring, including this past summer’s Most Nights Tour, during which the Fun. recorded the six songs found on Before Shane Went To Bangkok: Fun. Live In the USA.

Highlights from the live EP include a rousing, eight-minute rendition of “Barlights” and the first official release of “What the Fuck.” A studio version of the latter is yet to surface, so this is by far the best recording of the song, which easily stands up against the best of Ruess’s career.

Before Shane Went To Bangkok is available for free download on NoiseTrade and on vinyl, limited to 1000 copies, from Fueled By Ramen.
