New Jersey pop punk group Man Overboard got in the yuletide spirit this year with a cover of The Kinks’ classic, “Father Christmas.” The song chronicles the mugging of a department store Santa Claus by a gang of kids who want only money for Christmas, demanding Santa “give all the toys to the little rich boys.” You can see a new lyric video for the track after the break.
Man Overboard’s “Father Christmas” appears on Punk Goes Christmas, the latest entry in Fearless Records’ long-running Punk Goes… compilation series. Other highlights from the album include new tracks by Yellowcard, New Found Glory, and recent Fearless signees Real Friends. Pick up a copy right here.
