Last night Poliça took over Jimmy Kimmel Live! with one of their own and a synth-pop version of a Lesley Gore classic.
In support of their sophomore album, Shulamith, Poliça put the audience under their spell with “Spilling Lines.” After that they did a cover of “You Don’t Own Me.” If you’re stuck wondering what that is, you might remember it from 1996 hit The First Wives Club starring Bette Midler and Diane Keaton.
Poliça will be leaving the states in January to embark on a European tour that starts in Sweden and winds down in the UK. Then they’ll head back overseas to Germany in July for a few dates.
