Christmas is less than a week away, and Zach Galifanakas had a special treat in mind on his latest episode of Between Two Ferns. In the middle of a conversation with Samuel L. Jackson and Tobey Maguire, Galifanakas cuts away to Canada’s Arcade Fire dressed up in red and white to sing an awkward rendition of “Little Drummer Boy.” The whole thing is a mess, but what else would you expect from the show?

Everyone is stiff, Galifanakas starts flossing his teeth, and Maguire starts coughing on all the fake snow that’s falling. Nothing calls for Christmas cheer like the part when Régine Chassagne gets a little shriek-y on those high notes, too (but really, you may want to grab earplugs). Ah, classic carols.
