Days of Future Past may be my most anticipated superhero film of 2014. With the small taste we have been given from the astonishing debut trailer, the film is looking to be one of, if not the best X-Men film to date. Unfortunately, as we have found out today, Days of Future Past will screen without Rogue.

In news coming from director Bryan Singer, he says that Rogue’s only scene has sadly been cut from the film. “Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous,” says Singer. But, he does have hopes for it to at least make the DVD release of the film.

Though Rogue actress Anna Paquin only filmed this one scene, it must be frustrating to have such a massive undertaking of superhero canon slip under your X-Suit.

The film’s May 23, 2014 release draws nearer and nearer, though in the meantime, as always, let us watch the amazing trailer yet again after the jump!
