Watch Rainn Wilson Interview Arcade Fire’s Win Butler in the Back of a Van

For another episode of his wonderfully funny video series Metaphysical Milkshake, Rainn Wilson kidnapped Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler and sat him down to discuss a range of topics.

Butler talks about his trips to Haiti and how they led towards their new album, Reflektor, as well as what albums have shaped him over time. When Wilson asks how the band has managed to make each album an event, Butler describes how they aim to create a new sound. “Each time we made a record, the band could’ve very easily been called the Funerals or the Neon Bibles or the Suburbs. It’s like we’re launching a new band every time,” he said. He also shared his least favorite lyric of theirs, but you’ll have to watch to find out what it is.
