Edgar Wright Hints At ‘Ant-Man’ Plot Details

Director Edgar Wright, famous for his work directing Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End, has teased some information related to his upcoming film, Ant-Man.

As the title explains, Wright’s Marvel film will center on the hero Ant-Man, who, by his own invention, is able to increase and decrease his size, as well as communicate with ants. What is interesting about the small plot details Wright alludes to, is that even though Paul Rudd has been cast as Ant-Man, we do not know who will also wear the helmet.

If you look at the photo posted, it follows with a caption, “homework.” Further deducing what Wright could mean by this, we must remember that Marvel has said that Ant-Man will be a heist film. Remembering back into Ant-Man canon, we know that Scott Lang, a criminal who steals the Ant-Man helmet and takes on the role himself, could possibly play a large part in the “heist” to which Marvel is referring. The photo is taken from a cancelled animated Marvel show, in which Scott Lang steals the helmet, which forces Pym to contact heros for aid.

But, what could this all mean? Will we see two Ant-Men in the film? Will the torch already be passed onto Lang from Pym by the end of the film? I guess we will just have to wait until the July 31, 2015 release date to find out.
