Stream Hurry’s New Track, “Oh Whitney”

Today, Philadelphia lo-fi rockers, Hurry, released a new single, “Oh Whitney,” on Soundcloud. The band, a brainchild of Matt Scottoline of Everyone Everywhere, is a mix of lo-fi jam rock with a dash of this and that.

Hurry, made up of members from Psychic Teens and Dogs on Acid, echoes the early Weezer days with a mishmash sound of surfer rock, post-grunge and other influences. Their LP, Everything/Nothing, recorded in Philadelphia by Joe Reinhart (Algernon Cadwallader, Dogs on Acid), is due out later this year. Recommended for music fans of Dinosaur Jr, Teenage Fanclub, or Yo La Tengo.

Later this month, Hurry will be opening for YUCK (January 14) at Johnny Brenda’s in Philly.
