The new Broken Bells album drops in just one week (January 14), but you can now dance your ass off to the album’s bouncy title track as it has been made available for streaming.
We posted the album’s first single “Holding on for Life” back in November. “After the Disco” sounds like it wouldn’t sound a bit out of place on Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories, while fans of the project might also be reminded of the grooves heard on their last album’s hit “The Ghost Inside.”
Judging from the two tracks we’ve heard from After the Disco thus far, I’d venture to say the album will be much closer to what I expected a James Mercer and Danger Mouse collaboration to sound like in the first place and more of a departure from The Shins than what we heard on the first Broken Bells record. Check out the stream after the jump and let me know if you agree.
