I Am The Avalanche Announce New Album, Stream “The Shape I’m In”

Few bands have mastered the art of the punk rock chorus like I Am The Avalanche. Their 2011 full-length, Avalanche United, was full to the brim with anthems like “Brooklyn Dodgers,” so it’s no surprise that the first single from the follow up, Wolverines, is just as catchy. “The Shape I’m In,” which you can stream over at Esquire chronicles frontman Vinnie Caruana’s battles with physical injury, which might be ironic considering the amount of stage dives the song is likely to bring about in the future.

Wolverines was produced by the band’s drummer, The Ratt, and mixed by Will Yip (Balance and Composure, Polar Bear Club). The album will be released March 18 on I Surrender Records, and you can preorder it on CD and vinyl right here. If you’re overseas, you can grab the album on an exclusive vinyl color from Rude Records.
