It surely was a good weekend for the cast and crew behind Lone Survivor, which had successfully earned nearly 40 million in the action flick’s first weekend of full scale distribution. Nothing looks to be stopping Frozen from maintaining its high ground in theaters since the Disney film’s November 27 debut.
Nearing the bottom of the list of this week’s top ten highest grossing films, August: Osage County made over 7 million in its first weekend of wide release. Further behind that, last week’s newcomer Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones saw a drastic fall in performance, dipping down to one third of its previous numbers from 18 million to 6 million.
