The Cool Kids kicked off 2014 by announcing their reunion, and in the days that followed revealed that a new mixtape could be expected later this year. Today, two new tracks found their way online.
Kicking things off with “Computer Class,” the first new track from The Cool Kids harkens back to the group’s early days. The beat would fit perfectly on their debut mixtape, and will likely be the source of many freestyles in the weeks ahead.
“Chop” is a bit of a different monster. Featuring The HBK Gang, this one is heavy on the handclap and snare, with little-to-no bass to speak of whatsoever. This will surely disappoint some fans, but the flows are nothing short of impressive.
You can stream both tracks, which we assume will be featured on the eventual release of Shark Week, below.
The Cool Kids are keeping their plans for the future under wraps at the moment, but additional music will be on the horizon before you know it. Follow UTG on Twitter so you never miss another headline.
