Explosions In The Sky and Eluvium Form New Band Called Inventions

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from some of our favorite post-rockers in Explosions in the Sky who were last seen scoring the soundtrack for Paul Rudd flick Prince Avalanche. Now it’s time to mark some more noise, but under a different name.

Mark Smith of Explosions In The Sky and Matthew Cooper of Eluvium have teamed up to form a new band called Inventions. Expect a self-titled album from the group on April 1st, the artwork of which you can see above and the tracklisting below after the jump. It’s safe to say we’re pretty exciting, but let us know how you feel in the comment section.

Inventions tracklist:
01 Echo Tropism
02 Flood Poems
03 Entity
04 Luminous Insects
05 Peaceable Child
06 Sun Locations / Sun Coda
07 Recipient
08 Psychic Automation
