Have Mercy and Daisyhead Stream New Songs From Split EP

The last year has been a good one for Have Mercy, who released their excellent debut album, The Earth Pushed Back, on Topshelf Records, and they contributed a cover of “White Christmas” to the Soft Speak Records Christmas split, and they’re starting 2014 off just as strong. The Maryland emo rockers will be teaming up with recent No Sleep Records signees Daisyhead for a split EP, out February 25 on No Sleep.

Both bands will contribute two songs to the one-sided 12″ record, and you can stream a track from each after the break. Daisyhead’s “Dishonest” is a grungy rocker in the vein of Balance and Composure, and Have Mercy’s “Pete Rose and Babe Ruth” is more of what made The Earth Pushed Back so great: Passionate vocals, emo-influenced guitar melodies, and driving indie rock drums.

After you check out the songs, preorder a copy of the EP, available on four different vinyl colors with a screenprinted B-side. right here.
