Former Outkast manager Queen Latifah (yes – that Queen Latifah) claims the recently reunited duo are gearing up to record a new album.
Appearing on The Howard Stern Show yesterday, the same day Outkast announced their world tour plans, Queen Latifah revealed to the world that Big Boi and Andre 3000 will soon enter the studio to begin working on their first album together in nearly a decade.
“They’re chilling… They’re about to work on a new album,” commented Latifah, who used to head up the Flavor Unit management company.
At the time of this post (9:43AM EST) Outkast had yet to confirm or deny Latifah’s claims. We will bring you more information as additional details become available.
OutKast initially went on hiatus in 2007, but the two have not performed together since 2004. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the pair’s now iconic 1994 debut album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.
