Stereogum is premiering Lushes’ new single, “Harsh,” and we can’t help but find ourselves falling in love with it.

The Brooklyn post-rock duo is prepping What Am I Doing, their debut album produced by Annabel Alpers. It’s coming out March 4 through Felte, but this single makes us hope it’ll come out sooner.

The light guitar plucking on “Harsh” is reminiscent of El Ten Eleven and its playful banter between keyboard and drums nods to Menomena. It sounds simple, but the subtly layered track uses its conversational vocals to produce a rather intelligent sound that’s based in emotion. Trust us when we say you’ll want to hear this one again and again.
