“It’s fucking on” – Foo Fighters

Late Thursday night, fans of the Foo Fighters received a late (or extremely early) Christmas gift from their favorite band with an Instagram update confirming their plans to release a new album.

The image featured a photo of master tapes on a shelf with labels that read, amongst other things Foo-related, ‘LP8.’ You can view the image below:

We don’t want to speak out of line, but based on the visual and the accompany message (“It’s fucking ON”) it seems safe to say LP8 from The Foo Fighters will see release in 2014. We don’t know when, of course, but considering the fact Grohl told Rolling Stone the group has been working on something in secret it may be closer than you think.

“It’s badass,” he said of the album. “We’re doing something that nobody knows about, it’s f—ing rad. We begin recording soon, but we’re doing it in a way that no one’s done before, and we’re writing the album in a way that I don’t think has been done before.”
