Spotify Launches Merch Service

Spotify is branching out into merchandise in 2014. The music streaming service has been working with Topspin to allow artists to display shirts, vinyl, and other items on their Spotify profiles.

Using Topspin’s ArtistLink service, artists will be able to link to any existing merch stores (not just those hosted by Topspin) free of charge. It’s a great move for all parties involved, as it allows an artist’s Spotify profile to act as a hub for fans who might not otherwise seek out merchandise online.

Merchandise integration is currently being tested with a select few artists, such as Led Zeppelin, who just recently made their catalogue available to stream, but it should be available on a larger scale in the coming days. If you want to make use of the service for your band, click here for more information.
