Stream iamamiwhoami’s New Single Via Stunning Music Video

In December of 2009, I came across a couple of mysterious videos that immediately piqued my interest. They initially appeared to be some kind of music video teasers, but for what, or whom, I did not know. After doing some digging with fellow forum members, we came to the conclusion that it involved Jonna Lee, a Swedish folk-pop songstress. The videos kept coming and little by little as they became less cryptic it became clear that we were correct in pegging Lee despite rumors and assumptions claiming that the project was led by every blonde pop star from Little Boots to Lady Gaga.

Even after it became clear that Jonna Lee was the woman in the enigmatic videos, there was still a mystery to it all. What were these videos for? Who’s producing the music? Who filmed these ridiculously gorgeous visuals? What the hell do all these weird themes represent? People were becoming obsessed and I’m not ashamed to admit that I was one of those people.

Here we are just over 4 years, 2 albums, and roughly 30 videos later and most of the details regarding the project are known (Google if you’re curious because I could go on and on). The collaboration’s last effort was kin in June of 2012 and now we have reason to believe a new album may be on the way this year. A brand new single entitled “fountain” has been uploaded to YouTube with a gorgeous video accompaniment boasting their usual brand of high production value and Jonna’s interesting costume choices. The song itself may just be my favorite from iamamiwhoami yet and definitely raises my anticipation for whatever comes next.

You can stream the dark and electronic yet oh-so-smooth and Björky single after the jump.

And I’m including this live cover just because I always loved it so.
