Tegan And Sara Team Up With The Lonely Island For “Everything Is AWESOME!!!”

Sometimes you just need a peppy, positive song to get you through the afternoon. If you haven’t found yours yet today, let me direct your attention to “Everything Is AWESOME!!!” The collaboration between indie pop duo Tegan and Sara and goofball rappers The Lonely Island, which you can listen to right here, is so full of energy and thumping electronic beats that it might have you dancing in the halls of your office.

The song may not have the depth and nuance that Tegan and Sara fans have come to love in their music, but those aren’t exactly qualities anyone expects from The Lonely Island, so the compromise is forgivable. Regardless, the song functions well in its role as a companion to The LEGO Movie, due out in theaters on February 7.
